Aligning fibers in preparation for roving, batts or spinning.

Before the carding process we apply a light spinning oil and conditioner to the fiber.  This lubricates the fibers and reduces the breakage that can occur during this step.  It also minimizes the static electricity generated during the carding process.  It is easily washed out using hot water and detergent.  It is also at this point that you can have your fiber returned to you in standard roving for hand spinning or into a batt for quilts.
